FAQ

How does the newer "S TR" version differ from the older, original GP5000 TL tyre?

This represents a architectural leap forward in usability and speed. The older GP5000 TL was a heavy, stiff tyre with an impenetrable airtight liner that made it notoriously difficult to mount onto rims without tyre levers. The GP5000 S TR (Tubeless Ready) completely overhauls this layout by shedding roughly 50 grams of rotating mass per tyre.

Can I safely run these 700x28c tubeless tyres on modern hookless carbon rims?

Yes, absolutely. The aramid folding bead profile on the GP5000 S TR is officially certified and fully hookless compatible from sizes 700x28c and wider. When mounting this tyre to modern hookless carbon wheels (like Princeton CarbonWorks or Zipp systems), always strictly adhere to the international safety regulation limit of 73 PSI (5.0 bar) maximum inflation pressure for hookless setups. This allows the wide, supple 28c casing to deliver an exceptionally smooth, puncture-safe ride with zero blow-off risks.
